What is the purpose of having a Field Trip ?

The purpose of Field Trip is to get the children have a hands-on experience with what they are learning from school. For younger children, popular field trip locations are zoos and nature centres, where they can interact with different kinds of animals and plant seedlings and take care of them. When it comes to primary level, field trips can be in a theatre where they can watch musicals and in a bread factory or other factories where they can learn and see how a certain product is made. And for secondary students, they can have their field trips out of town or even out of the country to be able to learn about different cultures. Providing other educational opportunities is not only beneficial for the children, it can also help the community if the class opted to do community service like going to orphanages or elderly homes and going to a park and plant trees and pick up trashes. Field trips give children a break from their routine. They can look forward and get ready for a number of days and get to spend a day or 2 outside their comfort zones. A field trip can make the children discover new things and chase undiscovered ideas that they have before.
